Prisoner Re-Entry Assistance Program

A committed group of BCC members provides assistance and support to individuals re-entering society from the correctional system as a means of sharing God’s love for all. Each applicant for our re-entry program has to go through an interview process. We assist with housing, obtaining necessary documents (social security card, driver’s license), applications for food stamps, transportation, clothing, furniture, cell phone, and finding work. Most of these things have to be dealt with in the first 48 hours after release by the parole board. We then continue to provide personal support for about 90 days. We focus on who they are now and what resources they need to be successful in re-entering society. We do not work with persons who have committed violent crimes. To date, none of those we have helped has had a new offense and the men are immensely grateful for our help.
