Christian Care Communities is a faith-based not-for-profit provider of affordable senior retirement living and long-term care for older adults. Chapel House and Friendship House are two resident homes with on-site chaplains to serve the residents. Here residents, regardless of their denomination, can enjoy regularly scheduled Bible studies, weekly prayer services, and Sunday church services.

On the fourth Sunday of each month a Beargrass member leads the lesson for the Chapel House residents as part of the church service. You do not need to have teaching experience or be a Bible scholar to provide a valued service. The lessons follow the uniform series of lessons for adult Sunday school. You are provided the leader’s guide and lesson plan. The best part is there is a very devoted group that comes and provides lively discussion on the lesson! Chapel House is located at 945 S 5th St. The church service starts at 3:00 pm and lasts 45 minutes to one hour. The volunteer arrives at 2:45 pm and may stay and visit with the class after services.
