Beargrass Education Partners is a group of dedicated Beargrass members who provide tutoring, encouragement, and friendship to elementary school students K-2 at our neighboring Jefferson County Public School, St. Matthews Elementary, right down the street on Browns Lane. BEP volunteers are matched with students who need a caring adult presence in their lives to succeed in school. Our members build relationships and provide support and learning help that makes a difference. The volunteers spend about a half hour a week from September through April at the school.

We work in pairs, so that if one volunteer cannot go, the other will be there to provide consistency.  If you would like to join in the work of this group, watch for information in the newsletter and bulletins.
