Adult Spiritual Retreat

Join us for the next Adult Ministries Spiritual Retreat at the historic Shaker Village near Harrodsburg, Kentucky. Lodging will be in the village’s beautiful inn.

John Hull will provide background on the Shakers (a nineteenth century American utopian religious movement) and lead a discussion of how Shaker values can inform our lives
today.

The retreat includes Saturday afternoon free time so participants can enjoy the history and solitude of the village, take a drive through the countryside, or explore nearby Harrodsburg.

Reservations

You will need a credit or debit card. Registration closes Sunday, March 14. We have reserved 15 rooms at the Inn. Rooms have queen-size beds. A few rooms have two beds to
facilitate singles wishing to share a room. An expanded continental breakfast on Saturday is included in the fee.

Cost

  • Double Occupancy: $115 per person
  • Single Occupancy: $190 (for singles not sharing a room)

Meals

Participants are responsible for their own meal costs (except Saturday breakfast). Sample menus for the Shaker Village Dining Room are online www.shakervillageky.org

  • Friday Dinner: We will gather at the Trustees’ Office Dining Room for dinner at 6:00 pm on April 16. You must make your own reservation for Friday dinner or check the option in the online reservation and I will reserve it as part of the group. Main course dinners run $18-28.
  • Saturday Breakfast: expanded continental breakfast (included)
  • Saturday Lunch: in the Dining Room
  • Saturday Dinner: we will plan a group dinner at a nearby restaurant for those who wish to join.
  • Sunday Breakfast: in the Dining Room on Sunday morning.
